Dr. Sigalove walked through his own shift. He used to wrap expanders in a hybrid approach, ADM on the front, P4HB on the back, and published results showing it worked well. Once lightweight P4HB became available, he dropped the ADM entirely. Since then, he's had zero flipping and says it's made his life way better.
"I love P4HB. I think it's one of the breakthrough products. It's been a total game changer," Dr. Nahabedian said. He leans on it most in complex revision cases, using it to stabilize an implant when ADM hasn't held up as well.
